Outlook – Meeting cancelled by organizer but did not remove from recipient calendar

 

Sometimes it happens with organizer of meeting that he cancels the meeting and meeting is gone from his calendar but meeting still remains there in recipient’s calendar. And Since meeting is not there in organizer’s calendar so it cannot be cancelled again.

 

In such scenario you need to contact to recipient who still has that meeting, ask him to open the meeting and save the file in .ics format for it , Go to File > Save as > Save in iCalendar format.

 

Now ask him to send the meeting as an attachment to organizer.

 

Organizer need to download the attachment of that meeting and then will go to outlook > File >

Open & Export > Import/Export > Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs) >next > Select the file > Open > Import. After it that meeting will show in organizer’s calendar and now organizer can cancel the meeting and can send the cancellation.
